My daughter arrived home full of enthusiasm, confidence and was extremely proud of her accomplishments during her 10-day adventure.  She was given the opportunity to try so many different activities and surprised herself at how much she achieved.

Sailing and outdoor enthusiasts will love our Caribbean Discovery program!  Based in Tortola, our BVI home, think of this as the "Greatest Hits of Sail Caribbean".  Over the course of 10 exhilarating days, you'll experience sailing, kayaking, waterskiing, snorkeling and much more. Wake up to a new adventure every day in one beautiful location after another. Balance learning, leadership, community service and activities over the course of the program.  Alpha is fast-paced and spirited - a great introduction to the Sail Caribbean summer experience!

Embark on a Multi-Sport Adventure
The crystal clear waters of the British Virgin Islands make an inviting setting for Caribbean Discovery. The program is ideally suited for those with limited time and who are anxious to make the most of their 10 days away from home. Every day features a two to four-hour sail. Alongside your crewmates, you'll learn from our experienced sailing staff, and watch your skill level and confidence on the water skyrocket. Weigh anchor and give waterskiing a try. Sign up for our introductory Discover Scuba Diving course, or Recreational Diving if you're already certified. Go on your first-ever moonlight snorkel. You'll also have an opportunity to participate in our Marine Biology seminars, giving you a real understanding of these waters from every vantage point.  More about Learning and Optional Courses on Alpha

Embrace the Great Outdoors
The anchorages on our Alpha program are as varied as the activities. We hit some of the best spots in the BVI: volcanic islands, spectacular reefs, deserted cays. Top picks? Fabled Norman Island, steeped in history and pirate legends. The coral island of Anegada, with miles of pristine beach and snorkel-friendly waters that are filled with astounding marine life. And Virgin Gorda is a favorite stopover for its varied topography—mountainous in some areas, barren in others, and home to the famous Bitter End Yacht Club. Virgin Gorda is also where you'll find The Baths, a natural formation of pools and grottos created by giant boulders along the beach. Cameras were made for views like these. Do Good, Feel Good
Teamwork and camaraderie and fun are at the heart of the Alpha experience. And so is relaxing with crewmates after a vigorous day at sea. Take a gorgeous sunset sail, chill at a tropical beach party or turn up the heat at our chili cook-off and pita pizza contest! You'll also have an opportunity to earn five hours of community service performing such rewarding work as reef checks and  beach clean ups. These projects are vital in protecting the delicate reef system of the British Virgin Islands. Caribbean Discovery also includes our own True Course personal-growth curriculum and Leave No Trace, an environmental awareness initiative. Alpha is the classic Sail Caribbean experience — fast paced and action-packed, giving you a chance to sample it all.  See all the Activities on Alpha
