Sail Caribbean at a Glance

For 29 years we've empowered over 12,000 students with new skills, new confidence, and new friendships.

Our programs cover four stunning island chains in the Caribbean region - the British Virgin Islands, Leewards, Windwards and Bahamas - and the spectacular Central American country of Belize.

Each program offers a range of activities and a unique focus: watersports, scuba diving, cultural exploration, leadership training, environmental studies, and marine biology.

Community service is incorporated into every program.

Programs range from 10 to 24 days and can be combined for extended summer excursions.

Accommodations for land-based programs are in single-sex dormitories. Sailing students live with a staff captain and mate aboard 50-foot monohulls or 43-foot catamarans and sail in fleets of 2-8 boats.

No sailing or watersports experience is necessary, just a will to learn, a desire to take on responsibility, a comfort level on the water, and a sense of adventure.

Our overall student-to-staff ratio is 4:1. Staff is selected from an applicant pool of the most experienced, committed, and capable instructors and mentors anywhere.

We are the only teen program with our own year-round dive operation, Sail Caribbean Divers. Seventeen full-time professional PADI instructors provide comprehensive dive education to our students.

Caribbean summer weather is sunny, with water and air temps around 85 degrees, and constant cooling trade winds of 10-15 knots.
